Jason Hood (He/His)

Jason Hood, JD MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, he is the Director of Human Resources at the City of Wichita Kansas, where he provides leadership to the organization on all HR-related matters for a workforce of over 3200 employees. Prior to this, Jason served as the President of Jason Hood HR Consulting since 2012. Jason also worked as the Human Resources Director at Decatur Public School District for a year, and as the AVP of Academic Affairs - Labor Relations and Operations at Eastern Illinois University for a year and a half. Additionally, Jason has experience as an Adjunct Faculty at Parkland Community College for four years and as a Human Resources Leader at LSC Communications for nine months. Jason served as the Human Resources Director at the City of Champaign for six years, leading an HR department of six and working in partnership with other departments to achieve workforce-related goals. Before that, he worked at Volt as an External Sourcing Associate and at The Association of Union Constructors as a Senior Director of Labor Relations. Jason's early career involved working at Walmart as an HR/ADA Manager at the Global Home Office.

Jason Hood, JD MBA, attended Wabash College from 1987 to 1991, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English. From 1991 to 1994, they studied at the University of Illinois College of Law, acquiring a Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Lastly, they pursued an MBA degree at Millikin University from 2003 to 2005.
