Deputy Chief at City of Wood Dale

Chris Banaszynski's work experience begins in 1993 as an Asset Protection Specialist at Target. In 1996, they worked as a Community Service Officer and then as a Police Dispatcher at the City of Wood Dale from 1996 to 1999. Starting in 1999, Chris joined the City of Wood Dale as a Police Officer until 2011, during which they became a Police Detective in 2011 and investigated criminal activities, executed search warrants, and prepared evidence for arrests. Chris also served as an Investigator for the Felony Investigative Assistance Team Major Crimes from 2011 to 2019. From 2001 to 2019, Chris worked as an Accident Reconstructionist for the Felony Investigative Assistance Team Major Crash Reconstruction Team and the DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team. Chris also served as a Special Agent for the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group, Illinois State Police from 2007 to 2011. Since 2019, they have been an Investigator and Accident Reconstructionist for the DuPage Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigation Team (MERIT) and the DuPage Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigation Team (MERIT) Major Crimes. Currently, Chris holds the position of Deputy Chief at the City of Wood Dale, overseeing department operations and investigations.

Chris Banaszynski attended North Central College from 1993 to 1994, where they pursued a degree in General Studies. After that, they attended the College of DuPage from 1994 to 1995 and earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections.
