Cindy Benton

Cindy Benton is a seasoned Community Officer at the City of York Council, serving since March 2005 and supporting ward Councillors in five wards: Fishergate, Heslington & Fulford, Copmanthorpe, Derwent & Osbaldwick, and Bishopthorpe. Prior to this role, Cindy was a Community Development Worker with Foxwood Community Action Group from March 2002 to March 2005, and with Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust from April 1999 to March 2002. Cindy holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Social Science & Women's Studies from York St. John University, completed between 1997 and 2000, and has foundational education from Acomb Secondary Modern School and Hob Moor.
