Weifeng Liu

Weifeng Liu is an experienced professional in the fields of biochemistry and structural immunology, currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The City University of New York since 2023. Liu holds a position as Senior Principal Scientist at Aethon Therapeutics, focusing on antibody discovery and engineering utilizing ultra-large phage display libraries. Previously, Liu worked at Pfizer from 2017 to 2023 as a Principal Scientist in Viral Vaccines, where responsibilities included viral antigen engineering and mRNA/LNP formulation, as well as serving as Senior Scientist in Protein Therapeutics with a focus on antibody discovery. Earlier experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral/Graduate Research Fellow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2009 to 2017, specializing in structural biology involving various immune checkpoint interactions. Liu earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Structural Immunology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and holds both an MS and BS from Xiamen University in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biology.
