Christopher Larson has a diverse work experience. Christopher started their career at El Barrio, Inc. in 1999 as the Chief Operating Officer. Christopher then transitioned to City Year, a nonprofit organization, where they held various roles including Executive Director from April 2001 to November 2006 and Regional Vice President from November 2006 to September 2016. Currently, they serve as the Senior Vice President of People Development at City Year.

Christopher Larson's education history includes a Master's degree in Management of Non Profit Organizations/Management of Human Services from the University of Michigan, which they completed from 1997 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in History and Philosophy from Michigan State University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. In 1989, Christopher also completed coursework in Scholastic Philosophy at Queen's University Belfast.
