Rod Swain

Rod Swain has over a decade of experience in recruitment and service-oriented roles, primarily with City Year. Currently serving as the Recruitment Director for the West region, Rod leads a team of eight recruiters across three markets, focusing on attracting young people for AmeriCorps positions. Previous roles include Recruitment Director for the Midwest, where effective partnerships and recruitment strategies were developed, and as Strategic Initiatives Director for Recruitment & Admissions, driving key initiatives aimed at enhancing member retention. Rod's career began with City Year as a Regional Recruitment Manager and Operations Manager, alongside experiences at Teavana and AmeriCorps NCCC. Rod holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies: Security & Intelligence from The Ohio State University.
