Sabiel R.

Sabiel R. is an experienced operations coordinator currently working with City Year since January 2022, focusing on supporting key meetings, logistics for network events, and stakeholder communications. Previous roles include serving as a freshman admissions reviewer at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and as a senior academic advisor and academic advisor at Tulsa Community College, where responsibilities included monitoring student progress, facilitating decision-making, and liaising with faculty. Sabiel was also a founding member and board secretary at the Khan Ohana Foundation, contributing to the support of marginalized students. Additional experience includes leadership positions with City Year, teaching financial literacy at Peace Academy, and promoting Japanese culture at Council Oak Elementary. Sabiel holds multiple degrees from Oklahoma State University and has gained a broad skill set in educational psychology, economics, political science, and Japanese studies.
