Emily Castelazo

Emily Castelazo has a diverse range of work experience. Emily started their career as an Administrative Intern at Leadership Education For Asian Pacifics, Inc. (LEAP) in 2016. Emily then interned at Los Angeles City Council Councilmember Bob Blumenfield's Office as an Administrative Intern in 2017. In the same year, they also served as a Field and Communications Intern for Gavin Newsom's campaign for Governor.

In 2018, Emily worked as a Political Research Officer at Houses of the Oireachtas. The following year, they interned at the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies as a Research and Media Intern.

In 2019, Emily became a Digital Content Assistant at the UCLA Sustainable LA Grand Challenge and continued in that position until 2020. During that time, they also interned as a Census Outreach Intern for the University of California Student Association.

In 2020, Emily joined When We All Vote as a Digital Strategy Fellow and later became a Digital Strategy Associate. Since 2021, they have been working at Civic Nation as the Assistant Director of Digital Strategy.

Emily Castelazo attended Mark Keppel High School from 2012 to 2016. Emily then went on to study at UCLA from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Political Science and Communication Studies.
