Eric Biggart

Eric Biggart has a diverse range of work experience. Eric most recently worked at Civic Nation as the Manager of Programs/Operations for Change Collective, where they managed team operations, project management, budgets, communications, and program development. Eric also played a key role in the development of the Change Collective, a leadership training and development program for emerging community-focused leaders. Prior to that, Eric worked at EAB Strategies as a Principal, where they consulted on political messaging and communications strategies for various election cycles. Eric provided targeted messaging training and reviewed and wrote op-eds and letters to the editor during congressional campaign cycles. Eric also worked as the Director of Operations & Partnerships at Anthony's, where they implemented a new program to ensure donations to non-profit institutions were executed efficiently. Eric oversaw marketing, events, social media, newsletter, and operations, resulting in a 33% increase in revenue and the most successful years in the company's history. Before that, Eric worked at Salt Lake County in various roles, including Director of Special Initiatives & Constituent Affairs. In this position, they oversaw a portfolio of policy initiatives, projects, and constituent outreach. Eric also served as the Special Assistant to the Mayor for COVID-19, providing support on policy and communications challenges related to the pandemic. Eric also served as a Senior Advisor to the Mayor for Strategy & Outreach, where they focused on a range of issues and provided research and analysis of policies and proposals. Prior to their work at Salt Lake County, Eric served as the Director of Operations & Marketing at Anthony's, where they successfully led the business out of economic struggles and implemented various strategies to increase revenue. Eric also worked as the Director of Operations at Urban Paddle, a web-based startup offering user recommendations for dining and culture. Eric played a pivotal role in securing funding and leading a team that designed algorithms and content for the platform. Additionally, they worked as a Legal Assistant at Wasatch Legal, assisting clients and attorneys with housing, bankruptcy, and loan modifications. Eric began their career as a Legislative Intern for Senator Barbara Boxer, where they focused on public policy and constituent response. Overall, Eric has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills throughout their diverse work experiences.

Eric Biggart earned an Associate's degree in Political Science and Government from Riverside City College, which they attended from 2006 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Brigham Young University from 2008 to 2010. Later, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a specialization in Public Administration from the University of Utah, where they studied from 2015 to 2017.
