Vinny Lingham

Vinny Lingham has an extensive work experience spanning over a decade. Vinny began their career in 2012 as the Co-founder & CEO of Gyft, a digital gift card platform. In 2014, they joined First Data Corporation as the SVP Product Development. Vinny also served as an Advisory Board Member for Rodan + Fields Dermatologists and a Board Member for The Bitcoin Foundation. In 2015, they became a Member of YPO and a General Partner for Multicoin Capital. In 2016, they became a Co-founder & Executive Chairman for Civic Technologies and a Shark (South Africa) for the Shark Tank Show. In 2017, they became a Co-founder & General Partner for Newtown Partners. Most recently, they became the Co-founder & CEO of Waitroom in 2022.

Vinny Lingham began their education in 1992 at Hudson Park High School, where they earned their Matriculant in 1996. Vinny then attended the University of Cape Town from 1997 to 1999, obtaining a B.Com in Information Systems. In 2001, they earned an Honours from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in E-Commerce. Finally, in 2017, they attended Harvard Business School Executive Education, where they completed a Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures program in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
