Liz King is an accomplished education equity professional with extensive experience in policy and advocacy. Currently serving as the Senior Director of the Education Equity Program at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights since January 2015, Liz previously held the position of Senior Policy Associate for Education at the Children's Defense Fund from April 2013 to January 2015. Prior experience includes roles as Legislative Director and Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Congressman Chaka Fattah from September 2005 to April 2013 and as a Classroom Teacher at Barrett Middle School within the School District of Philadelphia from September 2003 to June 2005. Liz holds a M.S. in Elementary Education from Saint Joseph's University and a B.A. in Government and Religion from Wesleyan University.
