Kristen Fread

Scientist I, Cell Differentiation at Clade Therapeutics

Kristen Fread has worked in the biotechnology field since 2012, starting as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech. Kristen then went on to pursue a PhD at the University of Virginia from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, they were a NIH Biotechnology Training Grant Fellow at Editas Medicine. Most recently, they are a Scientist I, Cell Differentiation at Clade Therapeutics, which they started in 2022.

Kristen Fread attended Virginia Tech from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry with minors in Chemistry and Spanish. Kristen then attended the University of Virginia from 2015 to 2022, where they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
