Yiska Weisband has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. From 2020 onwards, they have been working at Clalit Innovation, starting as a Research Manager and later becoming the Director of Data Research Centers. Prior to that, they worked at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a Lecturer and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Epidemiology. Their responsibilities included analyzing national health data and disseminating findings through scientific publications. In 2016, Yiska worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The Ohio State University while also holding the role of a Senior Research Associate at Nationwide Children's Hospital, focusing on reproductive health epidemiology. They also have experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, where they were involved in primary data collection, analysis, and scientific manuscript writing in the fields of contraception use and sexual and reproductive health. Before transitioning to academia, Yiska worked as a Senior Web Developer at zap group and as a Web Developer at Celebros by Bridgeline.
Yiska Weisband earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2003. Yiska then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology and Biostatisics from the same university, completing it in 2012. Yiska went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Epidemiology from The Ohio State University in 2017.
