Tammy McGregor-Twiss has extensive experience in various roles within the field of education and program coordination. Tammy currently holds the position of Director of Student Success at Algoma University, a role they began in May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director at SUNY Canton starting in October 2021.
From 2012 to 2021, Tammy worked at Clarkson University, initially as the Director of the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), where they were responsible for developing and implementing the program's vision, goals, and strategic priorities. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Coordinator for Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) and Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) from 2000 to 2002. In this role, they supervised the operational responsibilities and delivered programs addressing the needs of children in conditions of risk.
Tammy's earliest work experience was as a Program Coordinator for Mamaweswen, The North Shore Tribal Council from 1999 to 2000. Tammy oversaw the development phase of the Aboriginal Head Start Initiative - on Reserve Program and conducted training and community awareness activities.
