Gary Squire is the current Chief Financial Officer at Claro Healthcare. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Finance & Accounting at HBR Consulting from April 2018 to March 2020. In this role, they led accounting and finance for a $110M privately held international consulting firm catering to the legal services industry. This included overseeing the general ledger accounting for 3 business units, consolidation, budgeting and forecasting models, internal analysis, and monthly financial performance review with leadership. Gary also managed partnership regulatory compliance, insurance, client and vendor contracts, and treasury. Additionally, they supervised and directed the work of 12 staff members.

During their time at HBR Consulting, Gary successfully implemented NetSuite ERP and CRM modules, achieved a successful go-live in 2019 (including full data migration of accounting, client, and vendor data from legacy systems), and returned ERP functionality to pre-implementation levels within 3 months post go-live. Gary also directed the adoption of ASC 606, which resulted in a $5M adjustment to revenue. This involved conducting technical analysis, establishing an internal communication plan, revising policy and procedures, and managing internal stakeholders and external auditors. Lastly, they managed HBR’s first ever financial statement audit and obtained an unqualified opinion. This process included assessing financial records, internal controls, adherence to GAAP, and ensuring proper supporting documentation in preparation for external auditor fieldwork.

Gary Squire received their BS in Accounting from Miami University and their certification from Virginia in Certified Public Accountant. Gary also attended West Springfield High School.
