Emma Dawson

Emma Dawson has worked in a variety of roles in the Human Resources and Talent Management space. Emma began their career in 2009 as an HR Business Partner at Prudential PLC. In 2012, they joined LinkedIn as a Director of Leadership Development & Talent Management, where they were responsible for global management and leadership development, executive coaching, team development, assessment, performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, employee voice surveys and capability infrastructure. In 2015, they moved to Dropbox as the Director, Global Head of Talent Development, responsible for Learning & Development and Talent Management functions. From 2017 to 2021, Emma worked at Affirm, Inc. as the Senior Director, Global Head of Talent Development & HRBPs, and at Coinbase as the Senior Director, Global Head of Learning & Talent Management. During this time, they also served as an Advisor at PeopleTech Partners and a Founding Member and Advisor at Continuum. Most recently, Emma was a Startup Helper and Expert-in-Residence at Rippleworks, and is currently the Head of People at ClassDojo.

Emma Dawson has an Associate Fellow (AFBPsS) Occupational Psychology from the British Psychological Society. Emma also holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London. Her postgraduate studies include an MCom (Highest Distinction) from The University of Auckland majoring in Organizational Change and Innovation, and a BA / BCom (Highest Distinction) majoring in Psychology and Employment Relations. Additionally, Emma is certified in Leadership Circle from Leadership Circle (obtained in August 2021), Hogan Assessment Systems (obtained in April 2021), and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
