Martina Frisbie began their career in 2008 as a Career Resource Assistant at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. In 2009 they began working as a Substitute Teacher at Woodstock School District 200. In 2012, they began working at Prairiewood Elementary School as a 1st and 2nd Grade Teacher, where they worked with 50% ESL/ELL students. Her responsibilities included teaching literacy and math curriculum and implementing GAFE into the classroom curriculum. In 2016, they started working at Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 as an Instructional Coach and a Literacy/Technology Coach. In their role as a Literacy/Technology Coach, they worked with teachers and students on the implementation of digital literacy and math curriculum, helped with the implementation of GAFE and 1:1 Chromebooks, and trained teachers to use Canvas LMS in their classrooms. Additionally, they were a Member of the Product Launch Squad at ClassDojo in 2016.
Martina Frisbie obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and German from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2008. Martina then went on to get a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from National Louis University in 2012. Following this, they obtained an Endorsement in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor from Aurora University in 2013. Additionally, they hold an English as a Second Language Endorsement.
