Role

We are looking for a Head Mechanic who will report directly into the Customer Succes Manager and will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Classified bike fleet and the installation of the Classified Powershift System on all types of bikes for all types of customers. As Head Mechanic it will be your role to support the customer care representative, the sales and marketing teams, the R&D department and our athletes, ambassadors and pro-peloton riders. You are in direct contact with the customers of Classified and you love to make them satisfied.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the installation of Classified products on all types of bikes of end-customers, bike dealers, athletes, ambassadors and pro-peloton riders.
  • You will maintain the Classified bike fleet and prepare the bikes for fairs and events.
  • You prepare bikes for pro-peloton riders with great eye for detail and quality.
  • You welcome and give technical support to customers, pro-riders, and bike dealers when they are visiting the Classified HQ.
  • You support our athlete manager by giving technical support (on location) to professional riders in all segments including logistics support during trainings, training camps and races.
  • You prepare, implement and perform bike tests including tests defined by the R&D Team.
  • You support the R&D team with wheel builds.
  • You support the sales and marketing teams with preparations, logistics and representation of Classified on fairs and events in Belgium and abroad.
  • You can give installation and technical trainings to customers.
  • You take care of the stock and ordering process of necessary bicycle components of the above.

Requirements

  • You have relevant experience as a bike mechanic.
  • Experience in the pro-peloton is a plus.
  • You can take full ownership of all above mentioned responsibilities independently.
  • You have a good knowledge of professional cycling in all disciplines.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have commercial flair and like to welcome people.
  • You must be attentive to the needs of the customer and determined to provide customer satisfaction.
  • You have affinity with the latest technologies in the bicycle industry and follow new evolutions closely.
  • You have a hands-on mentality and can work independently.
  • You are fluent in Dutch & English.
  • You have the legal right to work in Belgium.
