Job Overview:
As our strategic and analytical Product Marketing Manager (PMM) you will bridge the gap between product development, sales, and marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Classified Cycling’s products are not only meeting market needs but are also effectively positioned to achieve commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market research, product positioning, and go-to-market strategy, with the ability to drive product adoption and engagement through compelling messaging and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis:
    Use market research to understand market positioning and target audiences. Identify key customer segments and use data-driven insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.

  • Product Positioning and Messaging:
    Develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates Classified Cycling’s products in the market. Create value propositions that resonate with target OEM customers and product managers.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy:
    Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for product launches. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and sales, to ensure successful and timely product launches.

  • Sales Enablement:
    Provide the sales team with the necessary tools, resources, and training to sell Classified products effectively. This includes developing sales collateral, product presentations, competitive battle cards, and product documentation and FAQs.

  • Product Lifecycle Management:
    Monitor product performance and gather customer feedback during the initial introduction to OEMs, the testing period, and post-launch. Work closely with the Product Manager (PM) and Product Sales Manager (PSM) to iterate on and improve the product based on market feedback.

  • Customer Engagement and Education:
    Build and nurture relationships with key OEMs to gather feedback and inform product and market strategies. Develop case studies, testimonials, and customer stories that highlight the value of Classified’s products.

  • Performance Measurement and Reporting:
    Track and report on product marketing performance to senior management. Use insights from campaign performance metrics to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably within the cycling or sports industry.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse market data, customer insights, and campaign performance metrics.

  • Strategic thinking with a proven ability to develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for creating compelling product messaging and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to differentiate products in a competitive market.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Customer-focused with a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviours.

  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with communicating technical product aspects effectively.
