Dan Halloran

Dan Halloran has over 10 years of work experience in the software development field. Dan started their career as a Software Designer at Harvey Mudd College in 2008. Dan then worked as a Website Developer and Database Manager at the same college in 2009, where they implemented a relational database and designed a multiuser interface. In 2009, they joined The Aerospace Corporation as a Clinic Project Team Member, where they designed and implemented a display interface for an XML data stream system.

In 2010, Dan worked as a Front End Developer at AAA NCNU, where they designed and themed pages for the VIA Magazine website. Later that year, they joined SwoopThat, LLC as a Developer, collaborating with a team to create a dynamic aggregator of online listings for college textbooks. Dan also designed and implemented custom-tailored web crawlers and front-end systems.

In 2012, Dan worked as a Lead Developer at HubEdu, Inc., where they created web software to enhance textbook acquisition and sales for college campus bookstores. Dan implemented a large-scale adoption system and provided site behavior tracking.

From 2012 to 2013, Dan worked as a Software Engineer at Rafter, designing and maintaining web software for college bookstore point-of-sale systems. Dan collaborated with agile teams and contributed to the company-wide SOA structure.

In 2013, Dan joined ScoreStreak as a Senior Web Developer, where they designed the Ruby on Rails backend infrastructure for a daily fantasy sports site. Dan also maintained a public-facing JSON REST API and established protocols for background jobs.

Since 2015, Dan has been working at Classy.org, initially as a Senior Software Engineer and currently as a Lead Software Engineer. Dan has designed and implemented multiple REST APIs, coordinated integrations across multiple teams, and collaborated with team members in the development of new functionality. Dan has also mentored junior developers.

Throughout their career, Dan has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, web development, API design, and team collaboration.

Dan Halloran received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College. Dan attended the college from 2006 to 2010.
