Gary Grumbley has a diverse work experience in various roles. Gary is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Classy.org since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer 2 at Intuit from October 2018 to April 2021. Before that, they served as a Web Developer at Trackforce from August 2017 to September 2018.

In 2015, Gary joined UC San Diego Shiley Eye Institute as a Web Developer, where they developed and maintained the BioBank web application. Gary also built Ruby Gems for data parsing. From August 2013 to October 2015, they worked as a Web Developer at SweetLabs, Inc., where they developed HTML5 web applications and maintained company webpages.

In 2013, Gary had a brief stint as a Legal Specialist at Qualcomm, where they worked on patent prosecution and document management. Gary started their career as a Database Coordinator at the University of San Diego from March 2007 to May 2012, where they analyzed and maintained database integrity and assisted with data management tasks.

Gary Grumbley attended the University of South Florida from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre/Theatre Arts Management. Gary later pursued their legal education at the University of San Diego School of Law from 2008 to 2012, obtaining a J.D. degree with a focus on Intellectual Property Law. In addition to their formal education, Gary has also obtained several certifications, including an edX Verified Certificate for Big Data Analysis with Apache Spark from UC Berkeley in September 2016.
