Deputy Director, Policy And Market Innovation at Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA)

Heidi Ratz has extensive work experience in the energy and climate policy field. Heidi is currently working at the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) as the Deputy Director, Policy and Market Innovation. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Manager, Policy and Market Innovation at CEBA where they led the Western Working Group and supported large corporate buyers in their engagement on Western organized wholesale market expansion. Heidi also led the Clean Energy Buyers Institute's work on the 21st Century Electricity System.

Before joining CEBA, Heidi worked at the World Resources Institute as the Manager, U.S. Electricity Markets, where they collaborated across the Energy and Climate programs. Heidi also has experience at The Brattle Group, where they held various roles including Utility Practice Area (UPA) - Policy and Marketing Associate, Senior Policy and Marketing Analyst, Senior Policy and Marketing Coordinator, and Policy and Marketing Coordinator. At The Brattle Group, they specialized in energy policy research and the development of publications, with a focus on new business models for electric utilities, "Utility of the Future" developments, and energy regulation at the state level.

Heidi's earlier work experience includes a role as a Marketing Manager at APPI Energy and a Senior Practice Manager at BEACON at Salisbury University.

Heidi Ratz completed their Bachelor's degree in Art History at Salisbury University from 2001 to 2005. Heidi then pursued an MBA at Salisbury University's Perdue School of Business from 2006 to 2007. Finally, they obtained their Master of Public Management with a focus on Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2016.
