Georgina Prasad

Georgina Prasad is a highly experienced economist currently serving as Principal Economist at the Clean Energy Regulator since February 2024. Prior roles include Acting Assistant Secretary in the Frameworks Branch of the Foreign Investment Division at Commonwealth Treasury and various director-level positions within Commonwealth Treasury from June 2018 to February 2024, focusing on policy engagement and industry tax concessions. Georgina has held key positions in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and worked within the Department of Families and Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, as well as the National Museum of Australia and Medicare Australia. Educational qualifications include a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canberra, along with membership in CPA Australia.
