Jay Adderley has over 15 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Jay started their career as a Bakery Manager at Woolworths Limited and then worked at Cleanevent in roles such as Transition Manager, Venue Cleaning Manager, and Senior Major Events/Venues Manager. Jay also worked as an Event Director at Cleanevent Group Limited, where they were involved in managing major events and venues, including the Grand National and French Open. Additionally, Jay worked as a Project Director at CE Facilities Services Limited, overseeing housekeeping and cleaning services for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games. Jay then joined the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation as the Manager of Catering, Cleaning, and Waste, where they played a significant role in developing catering and waste management models. Currently, they serve as an Operations Director at CleanEvent Services Ltd, responsible for implementing organizational strategy and optimizing the profitability of the region. Jay also runs their own consultancy project, Adding Value Consultancy, where they offer services such as event/venue operational consulting, procurement advice, and sustainable waste reduction strategies.
Jay Adderley attended the William Angliss Institute of TAFE from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a CERT III degree in Combined Retail Baking. Later, in 2013-2014, Adderley studied Facilities Maintenance at the British Institute of Cleaning Science. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Transitioning from Manager to Leader from LinkedIn in 2021.
