Zan Zhao

Zan Zhao has a diverse work experience in the insurance and financial services industry. They started their career as a Summer Intern at Marsh in 2013. They then worked as an Actuarial Intern at Huatai Insurance Group - ACE Strategic Partner in 2014, followed by an Account Manager Assistant role at PING AN Bank. In the same year, they also served as an Information Technology Computer Lab Consultant at Columbia Law School.

In 2015, Zan Zhao joined MetLife as an Actuarial Research Consultant and also worked as a Teaching Assistant of Actuarial Method (MLC) at Columbia University in the City of New York. They further expanded their actuarial experience at Guy Carpenter, where they had roles ranging from Actuarial Analyst Co-op to Developer Analyst, and eventually became an Actuarial Analyst.

In 2022, Zan Zhao moved to Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Senior Actuarial Analyst, and in 2023, they joined Clearcover as a Lead Actuarial Analyst. Throughout their career, Zan Zhao has gained expertise in actuarial analysis, research, and advisory roles.

Zan Zhao holds a Master's Degree in Actuarial Science from Columbia University, which was completed from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, Zan obtained a Bachelor of Economics in Actuarial Science from the Central University of Finance and Economics, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Zan's educational background also includes attending Beijing NO.4 High School from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, Zan has obtained various certifications including SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 Credential from SAS in 2015, and certifications in R programming and financial accounting from Coursera. Zan has also taken multiple exams with the Society of Actuaries, including Exam C/4, Exam FM/2, Exam MFE/3, and Exam P/1.
