Jimmy Muller

Jimmy Muller has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jimmy most recently worked at ClearMix as a Lead Frontend Engineer, where they were the first senior software engineering hire. Jimmy built and architected all the flagship software and also grew and trained the Engineering Team.

Prior to that, Jimmy worked at PayPal as a Software Engineer III, where they were a member of the credit division. Jimmy delivered software using Agile methodologies and was responsible for creating new features and updates to various PayPal platforms. Jimmy developed, maintained, and refactored the PayPal Paycheck Protection customer portal application, which distributed small business loans and forgave a significant portion on behalf of the federal government.

Before their time at PayPal, Jimmy worked at Tablet Hotels - A MICHELIN Experience as a Frontend Engineer. Jimmy maintained and implemented new features on the flagship website and played a key role in writing and implementing test suites for the frontend codebase. Jimmy also contributed to the migration of legacy JavaScript code to modern technologies like ES6 and React.

In addition, Jimmy has experience working at Wipro Digital as a Frontend Engineer/Consultant, Independence Blue Cross as a Jr. Web Developer, PPG Industries as a Programming Analyst Intern, and the University of Pittsburgh as a fully funded researcher and peer mentor.

Jimmy has also held leadership positions in various organizations such as Shoefitr Inc., iDEAS Conference, and the Asian Students Alliance, showcasing their involvement in extracurricular and community activities.

Throughout their career, Jimmy has gained expertise in technologies such as JavaScript, React.js, Redux, NodeJS, TypeScript, Git, AWS, and Agile methodologies. Jimmy has demonstrated a strong ability to build and maintain software systems, collaborate with teams, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Jimmy Muller completed their high school education at Kennard-Dale High School from 2006 to 2010. Jimmy then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Science/Studies at the University of Pittsburgh from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they obtained a Certificate in Philosophy from St. John's University between 2015 and 2017.
