Viral Kansara

Viral Kansara, PhD has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biomedical research field. Viral has worked at Clearside Biomedical, Inc. as the Vice President of Preclinical Development and previously served as the Vice President of Discovery. Prior to that, they worked at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as the Global Team Lead and Head of Ocular Inflammation & Immunology Laboratory, Team Leader and Head of Pharmacology Laboratory, and Investigator and Head of Pharmacokinetics and Drug Delivery Laboratory. Viral also worked at Merck as a Senior Research Chemist in Pharma. Sci. and RNAi, and as a Graduate Research Fellow.

Viral Kansara, PhD has a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Viral then pursued a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, completing it from 2002 to 2007. In 2016, they attended the Harvard Extension School to study Biomedical Drug Development, specializing in Biomedical Sciences.
