The Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to collaborate closely with our Chief Financial Officer, undertaking diverse responsibilities spanning operational accounting and aiding in financial reporting and management. Initially, the role will be hands-on within a dynamic small team, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the enhancement and evolution of our business systems and operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Consolidation, review, and analysis of monthly/quarterly/annual financial data, including the analysis of variances,
• Periodic preparation and review/analysis of results using NetSuite ERP to support preparation of financial statements at local (CH, UK, LUX, DE, US) and group level,
• Review revenue recognition and capitalized labor accounting processes to ensure compliance with GAAP / IFRS,
• Monthly General Ledger closing process, management analysis of variance in revenue and adhering to local GAAP / IFRS,
• Assisting staff with proper GAAP compliances and day-to-day accounting operation,
• Readying and maintaining financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles, including work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice,
• Prepare and review of financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS at Group Level,
• Ensuring effective internal financial controls are maintained in compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, policy and procedures and all legal or statutory requirements,
• Prepare tax, VAT reporting with help of third parties accounting firm in our various locations,
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for multiple departments and product areas,
• Assist the CFO in preparing monthly management information packs, budgets and forecasts; producing ad hoc reports,
• Support the growth and management of the finance department.

Required Experience:

• Considerable experience and responsibility for month end close processes and reporting in a multi-currency / countries environment.

• Experience of working with an ERP system, such as Netsuite or Odoo would be a plus,

• Significant experience of delivering process improvements,

• Good understanding of Chart of accounts, clearing accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, accounting, and reporting controls.

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. Up to date knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS a plus.

Desired Education: 

• A chartered accountant with a degree in Accounting or Finance
