Benjamin Lawler

Benjamin Lawler is currently an Associate Professor at Clemson University, where responsibilities include Graduate Program Coordinator and Associate Director for Propulsion Systems Integration in the VIPR-GS Center. Research interests focus on enhancing the efficiency and reducing emissions in the transportation sector, specifically in areas such as internal combustion engine performance, advanced combustion concepts, alternative fuels, and vehicle modeling. Prior experience includes positions at Stony Brook University as an Assistant Professor, Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Researcher, and the University of Michigan as a Graduate Student Research Assistant. Lawler holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
