Iftikhar Ahmad is an experienced professional in the field of semiconductor research and epitaxial growth, currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) at the University of South Carolina since August 2018. With a strong background in the epitaxial growth of III-Nitride materials in commercial MOCVD reactors at Sensor Electronic Technology, Inc., where Iftikhar has held dual roles as Consultant Epitaxial Growth and Senior Epitaxial Material Scientist since November 2015, significant contributions have been made to the development of UV-Light Emitting diodes and various epitaxial systems. Prior experience includes positions as a Semiconductor Research Scientist at Nitek, Inc., and a Research Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina, along with postdoctoral roles at Virginia Commonwealth University and Texas Tech University. Iftikhar holds a PhD in Physics (Semiconductor) from Texas Tech University and an MSc in Physics from Govt. College Lahore University.
