Tyra Scherer has extensive experience in public health and education, currently serving as an Epidemiologist and Injury Prevention Coordinator at Clermont County Public Health since September 2017. Prior to this role, Tyra worked at Rumpke from September 2013 to August 2017 as a Commercial Recycling Specialist, where responsibilities included facilitating recycling program implementation for commercial customers and building relationships within the recycling community. Earlier experience includes positions as an Accreditation Readiness Intern at Clermont County General Health District, a Graduate Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, and an Adjunct Instructor in the Community Health Worker Program at Chatfield College. Tyra’s educational background comprises a Master of Science in Community Health Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, both from the University of Cincinnati.
