Alexandra Potter

Alexandra Potter, MA has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit and social services sector. Alexandra currently serves as a Board Member at Crafty Mart, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center as the Director of Access to Care, starting in 2021. Alexandra also held multiple roles at the Victim Assistance Program from 2016 to 2021, including Assistant Director of Crisis Services, Supervisor of Crisis Services, Grants Manager, and Victim Advocate. Their early experience includes positions at the Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center, where they worked as a Substitute Crisis Intervention Specialist, Senior Direct Service Advocate, and Direct Service Advocate/Hospital Advocacy Coordinator.

Alexandra Potter, MA, has a strong educational background in the fields of criminology, victimology, psychology, and justice studies. Alexandra obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Criminology, Justice Studies from Kent State University, where they attended from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Criminology, Victimology from Kent State University, completing their studies from 2014 to 2016. Prior to their university education, Alexandra received their high school diploma from Medina High School in 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Alexandra has also pursued further certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Alexandra obtained the certification of Mental Health First Aid (Adult) from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in June 2023. In May 2019, they achieved the credential of Credentialed Advocate- Intermediate Comprehensive Intervention Specialist from the National Organization for Victim Assistance NOVA. Furthermore, Alexandra became a Registered Advocate with Advanced Standing through the Ohio Advocate Network in January 2017. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and professional development in their chosen field.
