Meredith Bond

Meredith Bond is the interim VP of Research and Innovation at Cleveland State University. Meredith has over 25 years of experience in research and academics. Meredith began their career as a staff member in the Department of Molecular Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute. Meredith then became the Chair of the Department of Physiology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Meredith has been with Cleveland State University since 2011.

Meredith Bond received their Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Macquarie University. Meredith then worked as a research assistant at the Roche Research Institute of Marine Pharmacology in Dee Why, NSW, Australia. Meredith returned to the United States to work as a research assistant at the Johnson Research Foundation at the University of Pennsylvania. Meredith then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy in Physiology at the University of Pennsylvania. After receiving their Ph.D., they became a postdoctoral fellow at the Pennsylvania Muscle Institute and Department of Physiology at the University of Pennsylvania.
