Abigail Deffee

Abigail is the Senior Proposal Development and Grants Manager at the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI). Her primary focus is on fundraising, grants, and philanthropic partnership development activities including ongoing relationship management with funders.

Previously Abigail worked as a responsible business consultant helping firms develop sustainability strategies and move from compliance to leadership, on the issues that matter to their stakeholders. She has also held roles in the not-for-profit sector working in the UK, Lesotho, and South Africa. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Cape Town.

Abigail is a board member of the Joffe Charitable Trust, which has a particular focus on tackling corruption & tax abuse and building stronger not-for-profit organizations.
