Juan has a 10-year career as financial reform advocate. Juan has worked most of their career in the not-for-profit sector, specializing in the financial markets and banking regulatory framework with a focus on EU policymaking. Juan is a former Stakeholder Group of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) as a Consumer representative, where he advised its Chair and College of Supervisors on topics such as sustainable finance, consumer protection, digital finance, and investment management.
An Economist by training, he holds a Master of Arts in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe in Brugge and a Certificate in Law and Regulation of Inclusive Finance from the University of Luxembourg.
Juan is a native Spanish and Catalan speaker and is fluent in English and French too.
