Rosemary O’Brien

VP, Climate Policy & Strategy at ClimeCo

Rosemary joined ClimeCo in 2021 as Vice President, Climate Policy and Strategy, following a 40-year career with a global nitrogen fertilizer manufacturer, where she directed strategy for various legislative and regulatory issues. Her experience spans a broad spectrum of issues facing the fertilizer industry, including carbon policy and implementation, regulatory compliance programs in North America and the United Kingdom, and corporate sustainability.

As part of her sustainability responsibilities, she launched a corporate-sponsored partnership with a coalition of more than 50 agricultural and conservation organizations to educate Iowa farmers on the best nutrient management and conservation practices. She also managed an emission reduction program that developed carbon offsets at two U.S. manufacturing sites.

In her new role, Rosemary will assist ClimeCo’s agriculture and fertilizer clients in strategizing, developing, and implementing carbon policy and ESG.

Rosemary holds a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from American University.
