Ben Sheath's work experience begins in May 2013 when they started working as a Biomedical Scientist at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. Ben held this role for a year and five months, where they worked on on-call nights, weekends, and lone working. Ben then moved on to work as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust in October 2014. In this role, they worked in an acute hospital and remotely, handling routine, weekend, and on-call hours in a busy haematology and blood transfusion laboratory setting. Ben used various equipment and methods for analysis and carried out major projects and process changes. Ben held this position until December 2017 when they transitioned to the role of a Transfusion Practitioner at the same trust. As a transfusion practitioner, they reviewed, improved, and educated staff at three hospital sites, implementing local, regional, and national guidance. Ben provided clinical and non-clinical advice on patient blood management and was responsible for various responsibilities related to transfusion practices. Ben worked in this role until May 2022. Currently, they are employed as a Product Specialist at CliniSys, starting in May 2022.

Ben Sheath completed a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, General at the University of Hertfordshire from 2009 to 2013. Ben then went on to pursue a Postgraduate certificate in Advanced specialist transfusion practice at Swansea University from 2018 to 2019.
