Jen L.

Jen L. has a diverse work experience in various roles related to healthcare and forensic science. Jen started their career as a Medical Secretary at Clarkston Medical Centre, where they handled scheduling appointments, releasing results, and managing prescriptions for over 13,000 patients. Following this, they worked as a Force Support Officer at Strathclyde Police, where they facilitated the electronic form system for case information and prioritized cases for criminal records. Jen then joined the Department of Forensic Medicine and Science at the University of Glasgow as a Crown Secretary, initially as a permanent member and later as a temp via Blue Arrow Recruitment Agency. In this role, they performed secretarial duties and took breaks to pursue their studies at the University of the West of Scotland. During their time at the university, they achieved a BSc in Applied Bioscience with Forensic Investigation and gained hands-on experience in the histopathology laboratory. Jen also worked as a Laboratory Technician in Forensic Toxicology at the University of Glasgow, where they managed postmortem biological samples and performed drug extraction methods. Most recently, they worked as a Senior Application Support Analyst at CliniSys, where they resolved incidents raised by customers and ensured compliance with healthcare regulations within the pathology and radiology discipline.

Jen L. attended St. Ninian's High School from 1996 to 2002 and obtained a High School Diploma. Jen then pursued higher education at the University of the West of Scotland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Applied Bioscience with Forensic Investigation from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Jen has also obtained several additional certifications. In 2015, they completed First Aid Training from Stewart First Aid Training Ltd. In 2016, they received certification in Good Pipetting Practice from Anachem. In 2018, they became certified in MTA: Windows Operating System Fundamentals through Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business.
