Senior Business Development Representative at Clio

Anita Hoorntje has extensive work experience in business development and account management. Anita currently works as a Business Development Representative at Clio, a cloud-based legal technology company. In this role, they are responsible for developing relationships with clients and maximizing sales objectives. Previously, Anita worked at John G. Hofland Ltd. for over 26 years, where they held the position of Senior Account Manager. Anita'sresponsibilities included developing strategic business and account plans, exceeding sales targets, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Anita Hoorntje completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Law at Carleton University from 1990 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include "Managing Your Sales Process" and "Soft Skills for Sales Professionals" from LinkedIn, obtained in May 2022. Anita also completed the "Women in Tech Sales Bootcamp" offered by Women in Tech Sales (WITS) in May 2022. Prior to these certifications, Anita completed various training programs such as "Customer Service, The Basics" from The Training Bank in 2017, "Strategic Sales Unlimited" from Miller Heiman Group in 2014, and "Planning a Campaign & Handling a Negative Situation," "Selling the Advantage," "Optimizing Relationships," and "The Four Steps of Selling" from Entretel Incorporated between 2001 and 2004. Anita also completed the "Consultive Selling Skills" workshop offered by Effectivation Inc. in 2002 and the "Selling Skills Workshop" from Entretel Incorporated in 2000. Anita also holds certifications in Act 2000 from the Computer Technology Institute and various certificates from The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario in different legal areas such as Corporation, Estates, Litigation, and Real Estate.
