The role:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to be part of this amazing and fast – growing fintech and who will be responsible for the effective provisioning, build/configure, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related PayClip infrastructure. Focused on getting to the next level of automation (AWS), implementing best practices (Well Architected Framework), balancing cost & systems health.

This includes, management and governance, reliability, systems operations and cost analysis. Designing and implementing tools and mechanisms for automating, monitoring, and provisioning. Must be proficient with AWS services.

DevOps Engineers also must be intuitive to anticipate needs. They must be able to go into an organization and understand how the people, culture and processes work together to impact their job in order to fill the gaps in technology with expert care. 

DevOps Engineers must have a clear vision of the security aspect of the role, as a crucial part of the development cycle and following the standards.

What will I do?

1. Instrument, automate and configure cloud infrastructure, including compute, data, security and monitoring resources
   1. Create mechanisms for optimal operation
2. Automate systems, operations and configuration management, through infrastructure as code.
3. Instrument observability mechanisms in collaboration with other Clip’s teams (i.e.: Engineering, Architecture, etc.)
4. Support to other Clip’s teams (i.e.: Engineering, Infosec, etc.) to design systems for scale and ease of deployment and maintenance
5. Use automation frameworks such as Ansible and toolkits as CloudFormation/Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure
6. Manage configurations and track changes in the environment
7. Ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
8. Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
9. Execute OnCall processes to provide support to Clip’s daily Operation
10. Identify, document, and lead incident response and escalation procedures, to ensure timely and effective handling of situations.

Ideal candidate:

1. 3+ years in DevOps Operation, Software Development, Hardware Management, Cloud Operation (AWS).
2. Experience of AWS Cloud Services such as EC2, Networking, Lambda,ECS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, IAM and Cloud Architecture and Design such as HA, Load Balancing, DRP, Auto Scaling, IaC, etc.
3. Medium knowledge and experience of networking.
4. Medium knowledge and experience with monitoring and deployment tools.
5. Medium knowledge and experience in Linux.
6. Basic knowledge of RDBMS principles and administration.
7. Basic knowledge of  general concepts in NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.).
8. Programming experience with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Java, Go, etc.).
9. Basic knowledge of design and programming with Microservices (Docker, ECS/EKS, Kubernetes, MSA,etc.)
10. Experience with secure standards and  security principles: PCI DSS, CIS is       desirable
11. Desirable: experience with ECS, Github Actions
