David Freireich

David Freireich has over 20 years of experience in software quality assurance. David began their career in 1997 as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Cardiff Software, Inc., where they wrote and executed manual black box test plans for multiple products, built and maintained a Windows test lab, and evaluated the severity of bugs. In 2004, they became the Software Quality Assurance Manager at Verity, Inc., where they developed an Excel spreadsheet that was adapted company-wide for release planning and feature testing estimation, wrote and delivered quarterly staff goals and detailed annual reviews, and drove the design and implementation of automated build acceptance testing utilizing a PERL test harness. In 2005, they took on the same role at Autonomy, Inc., where they were responsible for QA staffing, project planning, testing estimates, and risk management for multiple software products, drove manual and automated unit, system, load, and volume testing for fast customer responsive software releases, and created and delivered detailed project status reports including risk assessments and burn down charts. In 2008, they became the Assistant Vice President, Software Quality Assurance at First Allied Securities, Inc., where they were responsible for QA staffing, project planning, testing estimates, and risk management for multiple software products for multiple QA teams in San Diego, India, and Eastern Europe. David also designed and implemented formalized testing procedures and SOPs for the QA department and converted QA from using Word docs and Excel files to TFS and later JIRA. In 2015, they became the QA Manager at AudaExplore, where they transformed an old school manual testing centered QA group into a fast, accurate, automation focused, quality team by making changes at the people, process, and technology levels, designed and implemented new testing processes and documentation methods to support the company's desire to move projects to Agile, and designed and implemented a new, fully integrated, technology stack that reaches across the entire SDLC, providing full traceability, increased speed, and greater ease of use. In 2017, they became the QA Manager at Daymon Interactions, and in 2018 they became the Director of Quality Assurance and then QA Manager at ClosingCorp.

David Freireich studied Computer Science at Coleman College from 1995 to 1996.
