Michael Nieto

Michael Nieto is the current General Counsel at Cloud9 Esports. Prior to that, they were the Director of Legal at Activision Blizzard from February 2018 to November 2021. In that role, they provided legal guidance and business support to Activision Blizzard Esports, including overseeing The Overwatch League and The Call of Duty League. Michael also negotiated and completed commercial transactions with major brands such as T-Mobile, Anheuser Busch, Kellogg, State Farm, Astro, and Scuf.

Before joining Activision Blizzard, Nieto was an Associate at Vedder Price from November 2014 to January 2018. Michael then worked as an Associate at Paul Hastings from March 2014 to November 2014, before moving to Cooley LLP, where they worked as an Associate from November 2012 to March 2014.

Michael Nieto studied Political Science and Government at the University of California, Los Angeles before going on to Harvard Law School to earn their Juris Doctor.
