David Midgett

David Midgett is an operations and technology executive with over 20 years of leadership experience managing large-scale Internet and cloud platforms. As the Chief Technology Officer, David is responsible for leading global operations for Cloud9. He possesses a unique combination of expertise in Internet operations, software development, trader voice, data center infrastructure, cloud architecture and SaaS services. David has a proven track record of building high-achieving teams and empowering business operations with reliable and scalable technology solutions.

Before joining Cloud9, David spent 18 years at About.com (now DotDash), including their early startup phase. While at About.com he led multiple technology teams to build out their Internet and cloud platforms through periods of rapid growth to become one of the top-20 largest content publishers on the Internet. In his latest role as the VP of Site Reliability, he led all aspects of development operations, quality assurance and performance engineering. Prior to that, he served as the VP of Systems Operations and Data Center Engineering, where he was responsible for delivering geographically diverse and resilient data centers, networking and infrastructure for websites with ultra-high-volume traffic.
