Alka Malhotra

Alka Malhotra has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Alka started their career in 1997 as a Sr. Purchase Executive at Hughes Communications India Limited. From 2000 to 2005, they held the position of Regional Manager - Contract Ops North at Hewlett-Packard India Sales Pvt. Ltd., followed by the role of OM Specialist & Pricing Analyst from 2005 to 2006 at the same company.

In 2010, Alka joined VMware as a Deal Desk Analyst where they managed the contract drafting and quotation process for the ELAs in the EMEA region. Alka also collaborated with Legal and Finance to facilitate document creation for non-standard agreements.

From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Deal Desk Analyst at VMware Software. In this role, they owned and managed the contract drafting process for non-negotiated documents. Alka also collaborated with Sales, Legal, and Finance to finalize proposals and negotiate contracts. Alka analyzed and reviewed change in terms and conditions requested by customers, ensuring profitability for the company.

Currently, Alka is a Deal Desk Analyst at Cloudbeds, a position they have held since May 2022. Their primary responsibilities include supporting the global sales organization in structuring deals, leveraging pricing strategy, contract review, and overall deal approval processes. Alka works closely with Finance, Support, and Sales Ops to ensure compliance with company policies and strategies.

Throughout their career, Alka has demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration skills, as well as the ability to drive new deals and expansion opportunities. Alka is experienced in maintaining efficient processes and ensuring compliance with sales and business approval policies.

Alka Malhotra has a comprehensive education history. In 1992, they enrolled in Delhi University and completed a Bachelor's degree in Commerce in 1995. Alka then pursued further education and from 1996 to 1997, they attended Annamalai University, where they earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance. During the same period, they also completed another Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Financial Management Services at Annamalai University. Lastly, in 2007, Alka Malhotra attended the All India Management Association in Delhi, where they accomplished a PGDBM (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management).
