George Shaker is the Director of the Wireless Sensors and Devices Lab at the University of Waterloo, where George works as an (R+A) Associate Professor. Additionally, George serves as Chief Scientist at CloudHawk, a Technology Advisor at AquaSensing, Tidal Medical, and Gold Sentinel, and as Technology Advisor and Winner of the Guelph City COIL COLab program at QWaves. George is also a Research Scientist at the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging and the IEEE KW Sensors Council Chair. George holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master's Degree from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Cairo University. George has a strong background in antenna design, RF system design, wearable electronic designs, and sensor and communication systems for drones and UAVs, driving innovation through daring research in various fields.
