Michael Tso

Michael Tso is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder at Cloudian. Michael has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, including wireless infrastructure and cloud storage.

Prior to Cloudian, Tso was the COO at Gemini Mobile Technologies, where they restructured and recapitalized the company to become a leading provider of enterprise ready, distributed object storage with full S3 compatibility.

Before Gemini, Tso was with Inktomi Corporation as their Wireless Chief Scientist. Michael was part of the founding team of the Wireless Division and helped create and refine the business plan and product strategy. Michael also led the engineering organization from zero to over 100 employees, and was responsible for leading technical due diligence for partnership and M&A candidates, as well as integrating ~60 engineers from two acquisitions.

While at Inktomi, Tso also developed and built OEM relationships with leading wireless infrastructure vendors. Michael was responsible for architecting and evangelizing technology collaboration proposals, which in part resulted in the inclusion of Inktomi products in every Nokia 2.5G and 3G wireless data infrastructure sale. Michael has also spoken at various conferences, including Mobile Internet Summit (San Diego and Paris), Mobile Commerce & Communications Conference, and mCommerce Conference.

Michael Tso received their BS in CS and EE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and their MS in EECS from the same school. Michael also has a minor in Economics.
