Sean Pieris

Sean Pieris has a strong background in human resources management, with experience in various leadership roles. Sean currently works at CloudMD as the Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources. In this role, they lead the HR team and is responsible for employee performance, compensation and benefits, coaching, employee relations, HR policy, and budget management. Sean also develops and executes strategies for talent acquisition, organizational design, employee experience, leadership development, diversity & inclusion, and retention.

Previously, Sean worked at Rogers Communications as a Senior HR Director. Sean championed the development and implementation of the Customer Experience People Strategy and Strategic Employee Programs. Sean also provided development and coaching support for the Senior HR Business Partner team and ensured excellence in HR program execution.

Before that, they held various roles at BMO Financial Group, including Director and HR Program Manager for Digital Acceleration and Agile Transformation, Director and HR Business Partner for Canadian P&C Banking HQ and Corporate Finance Division, Chief of Staff for the Office of the President and CEO of Personal and Commercial Banking, and Site Director for the Mastercard Sales and Service Contact Centre. In these roles, they led multiple HR initiatives, provided strategic HR leadership and support to executives, and ensured the delivery of exceptional customer experience, financial performance, and employee engagement.

Sean Pieris obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Financial Services from Dalhousie University in 2012. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including courses in executive presence, executive leadership, presenting to senior executives, writing a business case, professional in human resources (PHR) certification preparation, human resources leadership and strategic impact, introduction to employee relations, strategic human resources, digital business transformation management, and digital transformation foundations.
