Oliver Slater

Oliver Slater has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Oliver began their career in 2010 as an Apprentice at Zenos IT Training. From 2011 to 2016, they worked at Host Europe Group in various roles, including Technical Account Manager and Senior Technical Account Manager. During this time, Oliver gained expertise in managing data centers, resolving complex support queries, and designing hosting solutions.

In 2016, Oliver joined Arqiva as a Smart M2M IT Systems Support Engineer, where they were responsible for providing support in IT systems. In 2017, they transitioned to Piksel Inc, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, and Technical Architect. At Piksel, Oliver worked as part of a team of AWS Technical Architects, providing technical design, evaluation, and implementation of AWS-based solutions. Oliver also led discovery tasks and implemented process and quality improvements through task automation.

Currently, Oliver is working remotely as a Cloud Architect at Cloudreach, an Eviden business. Joining in 2022, they specialize in AWS architecture, leading project teams and performing assessments of on-premises and in-cloud workloads. Oliver provides thought and technical leadership across various projects and accounts, both internal and customer-facing.

Throughout their career, Oliver has consistently demonstrated technical expertise and leadership skills, making significant contributions to the companies they have worked for.

Oliver Slater pursued their undergraduate education at Leeds Beckett University from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computing.
