Chani Dutton has extensive work experience in product management and user experience roles. In 2013, they joined Cision as a Product Manager, where they were responsible for the news monitoring area of Cision's premier SaaS product. Chani worked closely with cross-functional teams to collect product-related feedback and issues from users. Chani also maintained the backlog of two development teams and prioritized tasks based on usage data, user feedback, and business needs. Prior to that, they served as a UX Manager at Cision, where they demonstrated a deep understanding of customers, problems, and solutions. Chani also worked as a Senior Product Manager at CloudZero starting from 2023 and a Product Manager at TeamSupport LLC from 2021 to 2022. In addition, they gained experience as a Product Owner at ZOLL Data Systems from 2020 to 2021 and as a Product Manager at SambaSafety from 2019 to 2020. Chani's work experience also includes roles in graphic design, web development, and web content development.

Chani Dutton began their education at Culver City High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Rocky Mountain School of Art and Design from 2006 to 2011. During their time at this institution, they focused on Communication Design and Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting. Prior to attending the Rocky Mountain School of Art and Design, Chani briefly attended UC Santa Barbara in 2005, where they studied Fine Arts without completing a degree.

In addition to their formal education, Chani Dutton has also obtained several certifications. In 2017, they became Pragmatic Marketing Certified at Level Two (Foundations & Build), which was awarded by Pragmatic Marketing. In 2021, they obtained the Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Most recently, in 2023, Chani acquired the FinOps Certified Practitioner certification from The Linux Foundation.
