Job description

Operations

Solving our climate crisis requires bold action, and with more than $20M from top-tier investors, Cloverly is on a mission to make it happen.

We’ve made big strides already—our groundbreaking platform for climate action is trusted by Fortune 500 firms from Visa to American Express—but as an experienced team of founders, builders, and sustainability nerds, we know the journey is only getting started. That’s where you come in.

What you’ll be doing

This role is uniquely positioned to make an impact across Cloverly’s entire business, and is great for a self-starter who is excited to work hard in a fast-moving and high-growth environment. As Operations, you’ll be responsible for managing Cloverly’s inventory and delivery of credits to our buyers while maintaining relationships with partners to ensure top tier service for both buyers and sellers. You will also own cross-functional projects to streamline and build upon internal processes. Your day-to-day will look like (keep in mind no one day is the same, and as you nail the foundations of your role, you’ll have opportunity to expand your remit - the sky's the limit):

  • Onboard and manage Cloverly’s inventory of carbon credits.
  • Own day-to-day ops and continuous improvement of our listing, activation, and retirement processes, with a focus on speed, quality, and automation where possible.
  • Own relationships with supply-side partners to comanage inventory and provide support when needed
  • Listing activation: work closely with product and supply teams to ensure listings are added and updated as necessary.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks on listings, ensure project information is up to date and accurate.
  • Ensure inventory data integrity at point of sale (POS).
  • Conduct quality and accuracy checks for each proposal.
  • Manage and maintain purchase records and transaction data.
  • Drive cross-functional process improvements between sales and supply
  • Support and foster positive relations with suppliers.

What you’ll bring

You’re passionate about using data to drive processes, highly organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a lot of autonomy to build. You’ll likely bring:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an operations, program management, or strategy role.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to regularly converse with priority customers and partners
  • An excitement about working in a versatile, generalist role; you roll with the punches and want as much exposure to parts of our business as possible
  • A self-motivated and driven attitude given the amount of trust and autonomy you’ll have; but you also know when to ask questions, and ask for help
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and are skilled in driving clarity and clear plan of action in tackling ambiguous problems
  • Demonstrated capability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

There’s no extra credit in solving the climate crisis, but we’ll award a few bonus points for candidates with particularly relevant experience. That might include:

  • Passion for environmental sustainability and a strong commitment to addressing climate change
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM)
